TransBots enables remote control and management of multiple service robots of different types through 3D virtual space. We are continuing development to meet the following requirements.

Potential use cases for TransBots

The versatile functionality of TransBots is expected to be useful in various industries, such as manufacturing, offices, medicine, security, and nursing.
One potential use case is centralized remote management of robots in offices, where multiple robots of different types operate side by side. Another example is remote inspection and monitoring at factories, such as in clean rooms. Other applications are remote examinations in the field of medicine and monitoring in the field of nursing. Moreover, expanding the functions of TransBots, such as remote centralized management of robots located at multiple locations, will increase the potential for use in special, novel applications.

Basic function of TransBots

The basic function is provided by TransBots Operator, an operation console that allows for operation of multiple robots from a single console.
With TransBots Operator, you can set the travel paths of multiple robots at different locations from 3D virtual space to enable automated operation of the robots in real space. Virtual space does not involve the concept of distance between locations, so this makes it possible to display multiple locations within a single virtual space and perform batch control.
It also provides remote video chat with robots, image display to robot screens, and video and audio playback.
