Proof-of-concept tests of human recognition system using AI
We combined operation verification of a human recognition system using AI with a Halloween event for families.
Date
October 29 and 30, 2022
Location
TOPPAN booth at the “An Interesting Near Future -CHANGE TOMORROW-” (Venue: Tokyo Portcity Takeshiba) workshop
Purpose
Operation verification of human recognition function using AI, which was a newly added function of TransBots
Contents
For the human recognition using AI system, the following procedures were taken. First, we registered, in advance, full-body images of event participants. We shared the registered information between eight robots at the venue via the cloud. The robots that operated in the venue automatically recognized participants based on this information, and it was recorded in the cloud.
Proof-of-concept tests using nursing work support robots
In the “2021 Robot Implementation Project for Robots as Countermeasures Against COVID-19” in Kanagawa Prefecture, our proposal was selected as a simple implementation project theme and we conducted proof-of-concept tests using our nursing work support robots.
Date
January 25, 2022
Location
Shonan Kamakura General Hospital
Purpose
To identify potential safety and operability issues toward the deployment of nursing work support robots for the purpose of reducing work at medical facilities during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Contents
Scenarios for services that support nursing work using robots were planned based on interviews with nurses and other medical professionals and also based on our on-site observations. Also, we conducted risk assessments in hospital wards, verified the appropriateness of the contents of the service, analyzed risks that could arise from robot use, and identified other related issues.
Demonstration with goodroom co., ltd. and Takenaka Corporation
We conducted experiments under the themes of “demonstration of robot utilization” and “facility management support” in a shared office that has old equipment.
Date
December 21 to 23, 2021
Location
goodoffice Shinbashi (Hori Building, a registered tangible cultural property): goodroom, COT-Lab Shinbashi: Takenaka Corporation
Purpose
To investigate the robot services that can be provided in offices that do not have cutting-edge equipment.
Contents
Remote presence confirmation and simultaneous patrols using multiple robots
Actual operation test of avatar robots (other-self robots)
Feasibility of robot renting service for building tenants (tested with a showroom use case)
Spatial information collection (environmental maintenance)
Confirmation of human presence in Hori Building using cameras
Confirmation of information nearby (outside) Hori Building
