Tokyo – November 11, 2025 - TOPPAN Edge Inc. (TOPPAN Edge), a TOPPAN Group company and wholly owned subsidiary of TOPPAN Holdings, will participate for the first time in the Japan Pavilion at Singapore FinTech Festival 2025, which will take place in Singapore from July 12 to 14.
Organized by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), the Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN), and Constellar Exhibitions Ventures Pte Ltd. Singapore FinTech Festival is one of the world’s leading fintech events. In 2024, it attracted approximately 65,000 visitors from around the world, including investors and representatives of venture capital firms, global financial institutions, banks, and national governments.
In September this year, TOPPAN Edge became the first Japanese qualified vLEI1 issuer. At Singapore FinTech Festival, TOPPAN Edge will present vLEI use-cases for companies engaging in trade and financial transactions involving crypto-assets on the blockchain as well as the concept for services designed to drive vLEI growth.

1) vLEI use-cases for trade
Operational efficiency in the trade sector is improving as procedures become increasingly digitalized, due in part to digital transformation efforts led by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. However, the switch from paper documents to electronic data has given rise to a new challenge in ensuring authenticity in the digital space.
The TOPPAN Edge booth at Singapore FinTech Festival 2025 will introduce vLEI use-cases for trade documents. Assigning a vLEI to the creator of documents handled in a trade transaction makes it possible to identify the provider of the documents and prevent transactions with fraudulent operators. The use of vLEI will therefore contribute to enhanced transparency and trust in trade operations.
2) vLEI use-cases for financial transactions on the blockchain
Blockchain-based financial transactions have increased in recent years, but when the blockchain processes transactions by incorporating external data, such as market prices and event information, the reliability of the entire blockchain could be compromised if the external data is incorrect information from an unreliable source.
As a solution to this challenge, TOPPAN Edge’s booth will showcase use-cases for vLEI in financial transactions on the blockchain. If submission of the information source’s vLEI is included in the process of incorporating external data, it becomes possible to verify and confirm that the reliability of the information has been ensured. TOPPAN Edge aims to harness this capability to facilitate transactions that are fast and secure.
